Altrusa International, Inc. is an international association of business executives and professionals who volunteer their energies and expertise in projects dedicated to community betterment.
Altrusa is a community service organization that espouses volunteerism and service. We promote literacy worldwide and work to relieve the suffering of children with HIV/AIDS.
The Altrusa Club of Biddeford-Saco is part of District One, which has 20 clubs in five US states as well as clubs in Canada and Bermuda. We were organized in October, 1975 and chartered on May 14, 1976.
Since then, we have made significant contributions to individuals and organizations in Biddeford, Saco, and the surrounding communities through “hands on” service and financial support.
